Artist's Insights:
I wanted the graceful form of the motherboard to be in keeping with one of the many willowy, graceful subjects painted by Modigliani. I think I found the perfect one in another portrait of Jeanne Hebuterne. The tilt of her head matches the angled descent of accumulated wires behind her. The circles seem to add a subtle rhythm to the work.
