 The history of art in his DNA. 

Using a flat, poster-like technique, Salvatore Gulino borrows images principally from Old Masters, combining them with images from another artist or popular culture. His design-focused juxtapositions have a fresh, contemporary feel while paying homage to the great artists who inspired him.

The painting above pairs the image of a vintage Lincoln automobile with a detail from Toulouse-Lautrec's iconic lithograph, Le Divan Japonais.
