Q. With your background in design and some commercial work, have you ever been inclined to try your hand at creating logos?
A. As a matter of fact, yes. I have a small portfolio of this type of work. So, why not pay homage to logos which I tried to do in this painting. In order to make the wall of logos work, I had to find a toned-down foreground. This came in the form of the girl in a straw hat. Her white dress and neutral colored hat is just what I needed. She is docile-looking and does not add to the busi-ness behind her (pun intended).
